In response to government requests to achieve the GHG emission reduction goals of Japan listed in the Kyoto Protocol , the PAJ (Petroleum Association of Japan) has agreed to blend 840,000kl per year of Bio-ETBE into gasoline starting FY2010.
Under this program, the JBSL (Japan Biofuels Supply LLP) was established on January 26th, 2007 for the purpose of the effective procurement of Bio gasoline components such as Bio-ETBE and Bio-ethanol (as feedstock for Bio-ETBE) and efficient distribution of the biofuels to the refineries all over JAPAN.
JBSL has already established efficient supply and distribution systems of biofuels to its partners.
From the fiscal year 2010 on, we will supply 840,000kl/year or more (210,000kl of crude oil equivalent) to the partner's refineries.
